So half term holidays are a couple of weeks away so why not spend a couple of days in Norfolk staying at the Dairy Barns B&B or our cottages. We really welcome families and do great breakfasts for the kids, waffles are a very, very popular choice
4 Great days out (all tried and tested my me and the other mummies that work here with our children aged 2 – 11 1/2)
Bewilderwood is top of everyone’s list from 15 – 23 Feb they have the Boggle Wish Bonfire, story telling, arts and crafts, lots of glittery glue promised and of course not forgetting the zip wires, slides and tree houses.. you will come back mucky and exhausted but your bedrooms will be warm and cosy and you will all sleep like logs after all the fresh air and running around (grown ups and children!)
Wroxham Barns and Junior Farm great shopping for grown ups and a fab place for lunch along with the Junior farm that has ponies, chickens, ducks, goats to name but afew and most importantly some very cute new born lambs which will need bottle feeding by helpful children, I’m sure there will be plenty of volunteers
Go for a beach walk at Horsey and see the amazing seal colony and their pups all lazing around on the beach, there are literally hundreds of seals that stay from late October to early March each year
If it is raining and really horrid don’t despair go into Norwich and take them to the Castle Museum its full of interactive displays and there is room for a bit of running around and noise, its not a “be quiet” type museum and over the holidays they are asking children to help a local artist create a giant mosaic maze
So that should get you started with some plans for your visit
