Dairy Barns, Hickling, Norfolk
We can promise you a very warm and friendly welcome at Dairy Barns Bed and Breakfast and Holiday Cottages Norfolk, which is beautifully situated between the picturesque village of Hickling, nestled between the glorious waterways of the Norfolk Broads and the stunning Norfolk coastline at Sea Palling and Waxham, close to the seal colony at Horsey Gap.
Dairy Barns form part of Lound Farm, a working family farm covering 360 acres of grazing marshes and arable land. We love welcoming people to our home and pride ourselves on doing everything possible to help you enjoy your stay with us. Whether you are planning to stay for a short break or a longer holiday, we want to be sure that you’ll be just as happy to stay in as you will be to spend your days out exploring the wonderful Norfolk coast and countryside.
BED & BREAKFAST
We have six large en-suite rooms on the ground floor, each beautifully colour-themed with fantastic power showers and luxury towels. They have wonderfully comfy twin or super king-size beds with crisp linen and cosy, pretty duvets. These rooms look out over the barn courtyard, and Kingfisher looks out over farmland.
Holiday Cottages
We have two farm holiday cottages on the edge of the village of Sea Palling. Finished to a high standard of comfort, they each sleep 6 with extensive enclosed gardens looking across farmland to the sea. As an extra plus, they have a hidden door which can link the cottages, turning them into a house for twelve people.
Flower School & Events
Every November and December, we turn our beautiful barn into the Dairy Barns Flower School. Fully decorated with fresh festive displays using lots of local foliage, we invite you to come and immerse yourself in Christmas and create something beautiful for your home.

What our wonderful guests say
“What a lovely find! One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Hannah was very welcoming on arrival and her family/team are all very friendly and happy to share their knowledge of the area. Rooms are spotless and breakfast in the dining room was lovely with all fresh produce. So many little nice touches and a very homely feel to the place. We really enjoyed our stay and will definately be back again soon.”

Seals
Visiting the seal colony at Horsey, especially when the grey seals have their babies in the winter, is a fantastic site. Around half the world’s grey seal population is found in the UK, and they are a protected species and come onto the beach at Horsey to have their babies and breed.
