As the old song says, there’s “nothing better than splashing about on the river”. Well here in our part of Norfolk we are in the Broads National Park with miles of rivers and Broads to explore. There are cycleways and footpaths galore but if you want to get to the heart of the Broads there’s nothing better than hiring one of the modern Cruisers or smaller dayboats and gliding past the reedbeds, the pretty villages, the iconic Norfolk mills and stopping off at one of the fabulous riverside pubs to “re-fuel”. We’re lucky to have some great Boat Operators right on our doorstep, including Richardsons at Stalham and Herbert Woods at Potter Heigham and we’d like to congratulate the team at Herbert Woods on being ranked No. 1 tourist business in the Norwich area by Trip Advisor with a 96% satisfaction rate. As their Marketing Director said “Satisfied and loyal customers are the best possible ambassadors for the local tourism industry so we must continue to excel at what we do”. Something we would wholeheartedly agree with and support.
