Here at the Dairy Barns, we welcome many guests walking the coastal path. Most spend 4 or 5 days in Norfolk walking from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth, so we are towards the end of their route. A warm welcome at the barns is always guaranteed if you stay with us. Along with a hot shower, a comfy bed and somewhere to dry boots and clothes if the weather has been a little unkind. Our delicious farmhouse breakfast the following morning will make sure you are full and ready to head off for another day of adventure.
We often work with a company called Contours Holidays who can organise all your accommodation, luggage transfer, places to eat and taxis which will save you a lot of time when planning your trip. Alternatively, if you wish to organise your trip independently, we are happy to offer suggestions and ideas to help; please don’t hesitate to ask. If you are organsing your own trip you might want to take advantage of hike help who will transport your luggage along the coast.
The closest coastal path offers a great mix of beach walking and walking on Dune paths, where spectacular views can be enjoyed. If you are taking a relaxed approach, there are some super cafes in Sea Palling, Waxham Barn (my favourite) and Winterton all on the edge of the route. There is, of course, the bonus at Horsey Gap of seeing all the seals relaxing on the beach or playing in the sea!
