Isn’t it great to see some sunshine at last? Really makes you feel like it’s time to get out and about and enjoy what’s on offer right here in Norfolk! Here are just a couple of ideas we love to suggest to our guests.
Messing about on the river … there’s something about sunlight reflecting on the water while you gently cruise along Norfolk’s waterways, watching out for kingfishers and otters. There are lots of options for River Trips – from Wroxham or Horning to name just two, and many smaller boatyards where you can hire self-drive day boats for an hour or more. If you fancy learning to sail, we’d recommend you take at look at Hunters Yard Heritage Fleet. They have a fleet of historic 1930s traditional wooden sailing yachts built by the Hunter family more than 80 years ago specifically for the Norfolk Broads and proudly claim to have some of the best Sailing Instructions on the Broads.
If you prefer dry land, then Wroxham Barns offers a great day out with lots to see and do for the whole family as well as some fabulous shopping opportunities too, of course. At the moment, they have baby lambs on the Junior Farm that you can help bottle feed – a real aaaahhh factor! Should the weather let you down, why not have a go at making something totally unique in the Made By You Art Studio where you can try your hand at pottery painting, bottled sand art or Decopatch which seems to really on trend right now.
Whatever you want to do, it’s time to get out and discover Norfolk!
