8th March is International Women’s Day – a day when we celebrate the achievements of women worldwide. There are so many inspirational women around the world, both past and present – Norfolk’s very own Edith Cavell is perhaps one of the first that comes to mind. It has been observed for over 100 years and the theme for 2015 is “Make it Happen” so let’s give a big shout to women everywhere who are motivated to be the best they can be; to those who shine. Help make a difference – think globally and act locally. Why not visit The Forum in Norwich for a free day-long event with activities, workshops, displays, talks, performances, quizzes, music and an international bazaar plus a programme of films in the Curve auditorium. A great opportunity for women from all walks of life to get together and network.
