As passionate ambassadors for the Love The Broads visitor giving scheme we’d like to offer them our congratulations for being shortlisted as a Finalist in the Best Marketing category at the EDP Visit Norfolk Tourism Awards 2014. Unfortunately, they didn’t win the category but their achievements were recognised and gained them publicity which is great. They were, however, lucky enough to receive a generous donation from Archant for £1,250 raised from donations of 25p from the sale of every copy of the Norfolk Broads Magazine.
Love The Broads is a fabulous organisation working hard to inspire visitors to care for the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads with a small donation when they book accommodation or visit tourist sites. The money raised goes to a number of carefully selected projects helping to look after the landscape and environment of the Broads and to improve sustainable practices. In 2014 funds have been provided to 5 differing projects – “Bats in the Broads”, new boat moorings at South Walsham, improved Visitor Information at Thurne Windmill, aquatic sampling and viewing equipment for the Nancy Oldfield Trust, and a dyke dipping platform at Carton & Oulton Marshes – find out more about this wonderful work here.
Dairy Barns is proud to be associated with Love The Broads and offers an optional donation on all bookings we take.
